EyeLin: delete your account and data

This page explains how users of apps published by EyeLin (Eyelin, LLC) can ask for their account and personal data to be deleted. It applies to all our apps, currently EyeLin Scanner (Android).

How to request deletion

  1. 1Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your EyeLin account. If you can’t, ask your company’s EyeLin administrator to send the request for you.
  2. 2Use the subject “Delete my EyeLin account” and say which account to delete: your name, the account’s email address, and the company (hotel or laundry) you work for.
  3. 3We check that the request comes from the account holder or your company’s administrator, reply to confirm, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

You can also ask us to delete only some of your data (for example, photos or notes you added) without closing your account. Use the same steps and say what you want deleted.

Your company’s administrator can also remove your access to the apps directly. That closes your login; to have your personal data deleted as well, send the request above.

What is deleted

  • Your account and your access to the apps.
  • Your name, email address and user ID.
  • The photos you took and the note text you wrote when inspecting items. The inspection itself stays (see below).
  • Crash reports and diagnostics linked to you. These are also deleted automatically within 90 days.

What is kept, and for how long

Business records belong to the client company you work for, not to an individual user. These include items, RFID tags, transfers and inspections (date, item and condition, without your photos or notes). They are kept after your account is deleted, so that the company’s records stay complete. They stay linked only to an internal user ID, which no longer identifies you once your account is deleted. They are kept while the client company uses EyeLin, or for as long as its contract with EyeLin requires.

If the law requires us to keep certain records, we keep them only for the required period and then delete them.

Response time

We reply to every deletion request and complete it within 30 days.
