Privacy Policy

The publisher of the apps and the controller of the personal data described here is Eyelin, LLC, a company registered in Armenia. Email: [email protected].

EyeLin’s apps are business apps for hotel and laundry staff. They are used to track RFID-tagged linen: registering items, sending and receiving them, inspecting them, finding them and counting stock. This policy currently covers:

• EyeLin Scanner (Android)

The apps are not intended for the general public or for children. They can only be used with an account provided by a company that is an EyeLin client.

Accounts are created only by the administrator of the client company (the hotel or laundry you work for). There is no self sign-up. Sign-in goes through EyeLin’s own login server (Keycloak); your password is handled by that server and is not stored in the apps.

• Account data: your name, email address and user ID. We use them to sign you in, to manage your account, and to keep an audit record of who did what in the apps.
• Inspection content: photos and notes you add when inspecting items.
• Crash logs and diagnostics: technical information about errors, including device identifiers, the app version, and the name and email of the signed-in user attached to error reports, so that we can find and fix problems.
• Business data: items, RFID tags and transfers between hotel and laundry. This data belongs to the client company you work for.

The apps do not collect your location, contacts, payment information or advertising ID. The apps show no ads. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

• To provide the service: sign-in, linen tracking and the features your company uses.
• To keep an audit trail of actions, which client companies rely on to resolve disputes between hotel and laundry.
• To detect, diagnose and fix errors and to keep the service secure.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

We use a small number of service providers (processors) that handle data on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): server hosting for the apps’ backend, database and login server.
• Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): error monitoring. Error data is stored in Sentry’s EU region (Germany).
• Google (Firebase and Google Play): app distribution and updates.

All traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to accounts created by your company’s administrator and to EyeLin staff who need it to run and support the service.

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• When your account is closed or you ask us to delete your data, we delete your personal data within 30 days.
• Crash logs and diagnostics are kept for up to 90 days.
• Photos and notes you added to inspections are deleted on request. The inspection record itself (date, item and condition) stays with the client company’s business records.
• Business records that the client company needs for its operations (such as item, transfer and inspection history) may be kept after your account is deleted. They stay linked only to an internal user ID, which no longer identifies you once your account is deleted. They are kept while the client company uses EyeLin, or for as long as its contract requires.

EyeLin’s apps are workplace apps and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If we change this policy, for example when we release a new app, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
